From 1st March 2021, Ubiquiti will no longer support some of their older devices. If you're planning a new UniFi network deployment, be sure that you're purchasing their newer, supported hardware to avoid compatibility issues down the line.

Devices No Longer Supported

The following access points have been marked as obsolete and will not receive further support from the UniFi network controller:

  • UAP-Outdoor
  • UAP-Outdoor+
  • UAP-Pro
  • UAP-IW
  • UAP (v1 + v2)
  • UAP-LR (v1 + v2)
  • UAP-AC-EDU
  • UAP-AC-IW-PRO

According to the official Ubiquiti website:

These UniFi AP models will continue to be supported by network controllers that have not upgraded to versions released past the obsoletion date (March 1, 2021). These AP models will still remain visible in controllers that are upgraded beyond the obsoletion date, but they will no longer be configurable.
