Connecting your Access Point with a PoE Power Injector

When you receive your Starter Kit it will contain:

  • A Wireless Access Point such as a UniFi device or Aruba InstantOn
  • 2 x 1metre cables
  • A PoE injector like this one

Connecting it is simple. The diagram below shows an example with a UniFi access point but the principle is the same for any equivalent device.

  • Connect your Access Point to your PoE adapter with one of the cables, using the socket marked “PoE”
  • Using the other network cable, connect the PoE adapter to your internet connection (usually marked “LAN” on the PoE device)
  • Power up the PoE adapter

After a few moments you will see your Fydelia guest WiFi network available to connect and log in to WiFi
